Eats: Pinkberry

Frozen yogurt chain Pinkberry has been open for a little while on the UES – its located at 1577 2nd ave — but its worth noting now due to the crack-like appetite people have for this stuff. The spot on 2nd is mobbed constantly. I’ve seen shorter lines at the DMV.

Last night the line was 40 deep and ran out the door and down the sidewalk.

The Calif-based company offers frozen yogurt — with toppings such as fresh fruit, cereal (like Captain Crunch, Coco Puffs) and nuts – as well as smoothies and shaved ice.  They’ve got 20 spots in the country so far, all in southern California or New York.

You can get a better feel for the company at their migraine inducing website (get ready for flash, pop-ups and more pop-ups).

Um, everything seems great until you get to the ‘about’ page on the website, where it says this:

 From the above page:

“As some of you are aware claims have been made recently about the nature of our products.

We want to assure everyone who enjoys Pinkberry that the product is wholesome and made with fresh ingredients.

We are, of course, investigating these claims and look forward to being able to demonstrate the quality of our product.”

Couldn’t find what the dust-up is about yet, if you know please comment here.

  1. Most of what you state is astonishingly accurate and that makes me ponder the reason why I hadn’t looked at this in this light previously. Your article truly did switch the light on for me personally as far as this particular subject matter goes. But at this time there is just one point I am not really too cozy with so while I try to reconcile that with the actual main theme of the point, permit me see what the rest of your subscribers have to say.Well done.

  2. Hey there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers?

My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing months of hard
work due to no back up. Do you have any solutions to protect against hackers?

  3. This is my first time pay a visit at here and i am genuinely impressed to
    read everthing at single place.

  4. Way cool! Some extremely valid points! I appreciate you
penning this article plus the rest of the website is also very good.
