The three game series between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox is over and the neighborhood ‘Red Sox/Yankees Alert’ is lifted. The Yanks pounded Boston and came away with three wins — they’re now 5 games behind the Red Sox in the division – and positioned themselves for a playoff push over the next month. The two teams meet again in two weeks for a three game series.
