That building going up on the corner of 79th and 2nd should be done by next August according to a guy who works at the site.
Girlfriend and I took a day trip on Sunday to Nyack, N.Y., which is about an hour outside the city if you grab a train out of Grand Central. After walking around for a bit we sat down to have lunch at Casa Del Sol – I was also playing that fun game “stay out of the sun or you’ll be burnt in 12 minutes” at this point (I lost) – when Girlfriend struck up a conversation with the couple sitting next to us.
Girlfriend – Where are you guys from?
Local Nyack Couple – We live here, work down in the city.
Girlfriend To Nyack Guy – Where do you work?
Nyack Guy – I work for a construction company, we’re putting up that building on the corner of 79th and 2nd, the one with the big Northfork sign on it.
Me – Oh yeah, when’s that going to be done?
Guy – Supposed to be June 2008, but I’m guessing probably August.
